CavinKare Ability Award for Eminence: S.M.A. Jinnah, Madurai. Founder-Director of the Indian Association for the Blind, which provides residential schooling, integrated education, vocational training, self employment opportunities, and distributes aids and appliances. More then 4000 people have benefited from Indian Association for the Blind and it won a National Award in 2000.

CavinKare Ability Mastery Award: Prasad Nagesh Ghadi, Mumbai. For his mastery in music and painting with unstinting effort. A music company invited him to launch his maiden album and he has

won the coveted National Balashree award in 2001, despite an atrophied spinal cord.

CavinKare Ability Mastery Award: Preeti Chhatrapati, Mumbai. Employed as a consultant to a multinational software company, with fluency in three languages. Despite being hearing impaired, she overcame all the social, emotional and physical difficulties associated with people having severe hearing loss and emerged a winner.

CavinKare Ability Special Recognition Award: Boniface Prabhu.
